Our high school years began in September 1960...
"School begins amidst a late summer heat wave and a new national dance craze in the form of The Twist. We are introduced to World History, English 10 and Biology, and names like Lemke, Spencer, Hunter, Chumas, Pendleton, Stoltman and Gorecki become part of our daily lexicon.

Our class officers include Doug Blanchard (President), Sheryl Loeding (Vice President), Alice Perkins (Secretary) and Betsey Campbell (Treasurer), and we will be kept up to date on school activities by the Hi-News, published monthly.

We begin joining the Junior Classical League, the Usher Squad, the GRA, FTA, FFA, FBLA, Debate Squate, Speech Club, Pep Club, W Club, band, orchestra, choir, the Hi-News staff, Drama Club, Spanish Club, Student Council, FHA, the Radiograph staff, Science Club, Library Club, the Red Cross and the Catalina Club."
